Not only do salmon feed us, but they also bring people together in ways that are fairly, well, miraculous.
Take Bridgette and Isaac Reynolds, two people from opposite ends of the country, who found love in pursuit of these special fish.
This month as a tribute to our Sitka Seafood Market community, Grace published a delightful and delicious recipe, sent in by member Andy Angelino. We're so thankful to be in the business of sharing nutritious meals and the stories that accompany them.
Programs like 1% for the Planet recognize the urgent need to address environmental challenges and mitigate the impacts of climate change, they enable businesses to give to vetted environmental organizations, and they encourage consumers to support enterprises that prioritize the well-being of our natural world.
But we wanted to go a step further.
The beauty of this recipe is that it works with virtually any fish, even salmon. The crunchy coating stays crispy long after frying, thanks to the panko and coconut, but we don’t think this will be put to the test since they barely last long enough to make it to the table.
In this video, Grace explains roasting and slow roasting — comparing the two methods and their unique outcomes. Whether you want to heat your fish more aggressively or take it low and slow, this video will help you achieve a delicious roast (not only for your fish, but for your sides as well!).
