Wild Alaska coho salmon, also known as silver salmon, are a beloved salmon species that are largely unknown outside of the Pacific Northwest. Cohos are voracious feeders and grow quickly during the short Alaskan summer, gaining 50% of their body weight in a few short months. To keep up feeding at such an aggressive pace their stomach acid is very strong and our coho is caught one at a time and handled with care so their delicate flavor comes through on your dinner plate. It’s our favorite everyday salmon and a hidden gem from our hook and line Sitka troll fleet. Portions are 5-7 oz, carefully frozen and vacuum-sealed with skin on and pin bones in.
