MORE PRODUCT DETAILS

Product Description

  • Wild Dungeness crab is the west coast’s prized shellfish. Caught in traps across from Northern California all the way to Alaska, this closely monitored fishery delivers some of the most sustainable crab available. They come pre-cooked and “half-backed,” which means we’ve removed the midsection and left only the meaty clusters of legs and claws. Clusters are glazed, frozen, and loose-packed.

Cooking Tips

  • Dungeness crab is known for its sweet, briny flavor and tender, delicate meat. It is already fully cooked, so you really only need to thaw and crack open to enjoy. It is delicious when added to sushi rolls, molded into classic crab cakes, or steamed and served with drawn butter or a simple squeeze of lemon.

Sourcing & Traceability

  • Caught using pot gear in the coastal waters of the Pacific Northwest and in the waters around Petersburg and Upper Lynn Canal in Southeast Alaska.

Packaging & Shipping

  • You'll have the opportunity to select your delivery week at checkout. If you don’t choose a delivery date, orders ship in about a week and your estimated delivery date will be available in your online account within 1 business day. All orders are packed in environmentally responsible insulation, recyclable packaging, and on dry ice.

Founded by Fishermen, Driven by Integrity

At Sitka Seafood Market, our roots run deep in Alaska's waters. Marsh, a second-generation fisherman, started this company on the simple principle of respect for the ocean. With a commitment to sustainable fishing practices, we bring you seafood as nature intended — wild, fresh, and responsibly harvested. Marsh knows the value of working with the tides, understanding the rhythms of the sea, and passing on this knowledge to future generations.
