Wild spot shrimp are Southeast Alaska’s hidden gem. Not only one of the world’s most responsibly harvested shrimp — caught in pots by small-scale family fishermen with almost no bycatch — they’re also one of the world’s gastronomic treasures. Spot shrimp have firm, rich, sweet meat, more like cold-water lobster than the shrimp often found at your grocery store or seafood market. Shrimp is ice-glazed, frozen, head off, shell on, and loose-packed in 8oz packages.

Spot shrimp are sweet, fresh, and slightly briny flavor, with a firm yet buttery texture — akin to cold-water lobster. Dip them into a tangy marinade before adding to kabobs for grilling, or steam them in their shells with beer, butter, and garlic for a delicious peel-and-eat dish.
