I’m a huge lover of BLTs and I really believe avocado goes with everything. This sandwich combines all my favorites on an English muffin. It is a little messy to eat, but worth every bite.

Ingredients

  • For Salmon Patties:
  • 1 pound salmon burger 
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • For Serving:
  • 4 strips bacon, cooked to desired doneness
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle paste or chipotle in adobo, minced
  • 4 leaves bibb lettuce
  • 4 english muffins, toasted

Directions

FOR THE PATTIES

In a food processor, lightly pulse salmon burger with mayonnaise and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Allow mixture to rest for 30 minutes to an hour. Divide burger mixture in 4 even patties. Sear patties in a large skillet over medium heat with olive oil. Cook patties for 2-3 minutes per side until firm and browned.

FOR THE BURGERS

Assemble burgers: place lettuce on english muffin, topped with bacon and a salmon patty. Combine ketchup and chipotle in a small bowl and spread atop the salmon patty. Add sliced avocado and top of english muffin.
