Kodiak, Alaska
Wild Alaska Pacific Cod, Wild Alaska Rockfish

Glenn grew up on dairy farms on the East Coast, and started fishing in New England around the age of 19. His first job on the water was on a Hudson River boat from Haverstraw to West Point. He came to Alaska at the age of 21 and fished commercially all over the state, from Kodiak to Bristol Bay, and from Homer to Adak.
Today, Glenn lives in his home port of Kodiak with his wife and three kids. He enjoys rockfish tacos with the cilantro and lime, a good hot salsa, and some cabbage—and says that when combined with some beers, this is a recipe for a good time with friends.
What do you love about fishing?
The best part about fishing is feeding people with your labor.
What do you do in the off-season, when you’re not fishing (hobbies, etc)?
In the off season, or when I’m off the boat, I usually relax in the backyard, tend to the garden, and listen to Red Sox baseball.
What’s your favorite seafood dish or favorite preparation?
My favorite seafood dish is a bucket of New England steamers and another bucket of butter. Also, rockfish tacos with cilantro and lime, a good hot salsa, and some cabbage. That and some beers makes for a good time with friends. I’d like to think that’s how people are eating the fish I catch.
Tell us something about Kodiak others might not know/or what do you love most about Kodiak?
What I love about Kodiak is the beach combing. You usually find something cool with a story behind it.
