Grilled King Salmon with Marsh Skeele

Who better to take your culinary seafood cues from than a fisherman? Listen in as Sitka Seafood Market fisherman and vice president Marsh Skeele shares one of his favorite ways to prepare wild-caught king salmon.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (1 pound) fillet king salmon
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 lemon, *thinly sliced

DIRECTIONS

Preheat a gas or charcoal grill over medium.


Season king salmon with sea salt. Sprinkle brown sugar over the fillet and arrange lemon slices in an even layer over top.


Place salmon fillet skin-side down on the grates. Cover and cook for approximately 12-15 minutes or until the salmon begins to flake. Serve immediately.
