Wild White Gulf Shrimp

Biloxi Shrimp Co. is a small, family-run business on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, tracing its roots back to 1898 through the Mavar family and to 1927 through the Suarez family, whose retail seafood market once served the Biloxi waterfront. Co-founders Mark Mavar and Jonathan McLendon, both descendants of these founding families, joined their wholesale operations in 2020 to bring their wild-caught Gulf shrimp directly to households across the country. Their facility was the first in the U.S. shrimp industry to use optical laser sorting, hand-selecting every shrimp for size and quality before it's blast-frozen at peak freshness. Through hurricanes, pandemic shutdowns, and generations of change, the family has stayed rooted in the same stretch of Gulf Coast shoreline for more than a century. We're proud to feature their responsibly harvested, expertly handled shrimp as part of our community.
