Chris Johnson and Danielle Ringer are a second-generation community-based commercial fishing family in Kodiak, Alaska. They focus on providing sustainably harvested and scientifically managed seafood and participate in multiple fisheries throughout the year. Jigging has been a mainstay for their family since they started running their first operation and cod and rockfish are foundational to their ability to stay viable. These two kinds of fish are their favorite to prepare because of their buttery flavor and that they lend themselves to a broad spectrum of delicious meals for every cooking level. They’re excellent sources of lean protein that come direct from their family to yours and they’re incredibly proud to be part of this unique small-scale fishery.
